A Place to Realize and Share in Success

Since joining Great Eagle I have had the privilege to work on some truly world class developments and luxury hotel projects across the globe, from Hong Kong, Japan, Europe and North America; bringing together world-leading architects and contractors to realize the Group’s vision.

One of my proudest achievements here is the immense efforts and commitment my team and I put into accomplishing fast-paced, complex projects on tight budgets. On a recent tall tower project, the team worked tirelessly and succeeded in adding more saleable floor area and realize millions of dollars in cost efficiencies, through innovative approaches and elegant solutions. We recently completed major engineering projects at a number of our existing properties, which helped to significantly reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption for the Group, which made everyone involved extremely proud of what was achieved.

Collaboration and synergy are essential in development and project management. Working with a passionate and dedicated team inspires me to push boundaries and achieve excellence. The satisfaction of seeing our hard work come to fruition and making a positive difference for our Group and stakeholders truly keeps me motivated.

A Passion for Real Estate 

I have a special passion for real estate and working in the property field is my longing goal since I was young. The goal finally came to fruition after I joined Great Eagle, where I am given the opportunity to work in multiple capacities for property development and investment projects across the region from Greater China to North America. The experience gained from this cross-regional exposure is priceless to me no matter professionally and personally. 

Turning passion into career, I always stay curious and am ready to continually learn. The real estate market is volatile, I always remind myself to know the trends well and stay ahead of the market. Good things take time, so patience and perseverance are also the key to success. 

I am proud of being part of the Great Eagle family. I am most grateful that Great Eagle has given me many exciting opportunities to work on new ventures where I get to experience and grow. The extra reward along this journey is the rapport and friendship built with my teammates that I truly treasure. Indeed this is more than just a workplace for me, it is a place where I feel valued and where the work of all of us makes a difference.

Sowing the Seeds of Sustainability

Sustainability is everybody’s business. Being able to contribute a part in driving the Group’s sustainability strategy and in particular, collaborating with different business units to work together towards the common sustainability goals are the most exciting parts of my works. 

“Together, small acts make a big impact.” I find it fulfilling to be involved in this sustainable journey and witness how our efforts are bringing positive impacts and social goods.  

For those people who want to join the sustainability profession, there are 4 “P” that may be useful for you: be “Passionate”, the driving force that inspires individuals to create positive changes; be “Proactive”, always take initiatives for improvement; be “Professional”, keep learning and improving your professional knowledge and skills; “Partnership”, building rapport within and outside the company, to share best practices and work towards common sustainability goals.

I am sure that you will find the whole process very rewarding, and you will meet lots of like-minded partners during the journey.

Work with Heart and Enjoy Everyday

With my outgoing personalities, I especially love to communicate with and serve others. After graduating from hotel and tourism management faculty in the university, I entered the property management industry and joined Langham Place. I am now responsible for the customer service and tenancy service teams, leading my team members to solve problems for customers and tenants in a pleasant and professional manner by heart, and to provide them with a safe, comfortable and enjoyable shopping and business operating experience. 

My work is always full of surprises. I remember I once helped an American couple resolve a dispute with our tenant. After resolving the issue, I recommended them to try specialty foods nearby and added each other as friends on Facebook. One day, this lady shared news with me that she was pregnant, and I was so happy for them! 

Some people say it is difficult to meet new friends in the workplace. However, we are able to make friends with our customers. Whether they encounter problems or joys and sorrows, they share them with us. We even know their family members and where they have traveled recently. Being able to gain so much makes me enjoy working and living here everyday.

Keep Moving Forward 

In the blink of an eye, it has been more than 20 years since I joined Great Eagle. What keeps me driven at Great Eagle is the satisfaction derived from enhancing our IT infrastructure’s resilience, staying at the forefront of ever-changing trend of IT services, coupling with the responsibility of making appropriate use of trending IT resources. There are also moments where I have to face different challenges and promote the work efficiency of my colleagues at the same time, these challenging opportunities indeed motivate me to keep going forward.

What I cherish most about working at Great Eagle is the harmonious blend of tradition and innovation. With our rich company history, the collaborative spirit among colleagues and teams creates an atmosphere where ideas flourish and goals are shared. Over the years, the collaborative environment has fostered meaningful connections and a sense of belonging to me.

With the company’s commitment to technology development, contributing to the efficiency and reliability of our infrastructure could strengthen the foundation for the entire organization’s technology operations - it also adds sense of significance to my work. It is a place where I can utilize my talents, together with the professional growth opportunities, job satisfaction, and the positive and collaborative atmosphere have kept me dedicated over the years at Great Eagle.

A World of Opportunities to Learn and Grow 

As an Investment Principal, my role revolves around venture capital investment in deep tech and biotech companies. This includes reviewing and assessing new investment opportunities, meeting entrepreneurs and scientists, conducting thorough due diligence, and managing our investment portfolio. My position requires a keen eye for potential and an understanding of market trends in different innovative sectors.

The world of VC is always evolving, and the ability to adapt and embrace new ideas is key, we will need an open mind and proactivity to learn new technologies and stay ahead of the curve. Stay curious, be eager to learn, and don't shy away from challenges. That's how you grow, not just here at Great Eagle, but in any aspect of your career.

Working at Great Eagle has been a unique experience, mainly because of the immense learning opportunities it presents. I particularly appreciate the chance to learn from the senior management team. Their guidance has been invaluable in my professional development. Additionally, the exposure to many different start-ups and industries has broadened my understanding and skill set, making every day a new learning experience.
