Eaton Workshop Honored As One Of The World’s Most Innovative Companies In 2019

21 February 2019, Hong Kong – Eaton Workshop, part of the Great Eagle Group, has been named one of The World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2019 by prominent American business magazine “Fast Company”. Launched in Washington D.C., USA and Hong Kong in Q4 2018, Eaton Workshop was selected as one of the Fast Company’s world’s top 10 innovative companies in the travel sector for “turning the boutique hotel into a cultural center.”

Eaton Workshop breaks the traditional concept of hotel and aims to promote diversity and social exchange. In addition to providing general hotel services, Eaton Workshop has further set up art gallery, radio stations, cinemas, etc., so as to encourage interactions among people in public space. Eaton Workshop has built a venue for open dialogue. For example, in September 2018, the hotel hosted Hong Kong’s first “Women’s Festival” to promote the concept of women’s “self-care, self-love, and self-expression” and talked about sensitive topics that the public has avoided discussing.

“Fast Company” is hailed as one of the most influential business magazines in the United States, with 725,000 subscribers and over 40 million monthly page views on its website. Since 2008, the media has been focusing on global organizations from start-ups to international brands, collecting breakthrough innovation projects of the companies in the year and analyzing the impact of these projects on business, industry or culture. It then selects the world’s top ten most innovative by sector, as well as the top 50 most innovative companies in the world. The winning list of the year’s most innovative companies is a convincing affirmation of organizations that have brought significant changes in the industry and society, and is also an endorsement of the annual achievements of the winning organizations.
